Roma

We are here! Finally. WOW!!!!!!!!!!

The build up to this trip has been intense. Mike retired, Alaska, Katie’s engagement, Katie & Alec’s wedding, Christmas, storage rooms, Todd & Priscila’s marriage celebration.

We made our final stop at the storage room Wednesday morning. What started off as a well organized Tetris version with books, albums, dishes, shelves ended with Mike literally throwing a twin mattress with superhuman strength to the top of the pile. We were ready!

We got to Miami Airport with plenty of time and it was only a bit nerve wracking. On the way down my brain was firing away. Moving and leaving on a huge trip at the same time was a lot!

Now we are in Trastavere, an area of Rome. I was relieved to find the cold was not too awful when I wore basically everything I brought. We are staying 3 nights at the hotel San Francesco. It is a bustling area with everyone out walking and enjoying the many restaurants. Here was our first meal and it was delicious! Mike has spaghetti and meatballs. Mine was olives, capers, tomatoes, and eggplant in a mild sauce. It’s already Friday now and we are heading out for a huge day! Love you all and more later <3
